My Anniversary Gift: The Creation Museum

Well today is mine & Josh's 6 year anniversary (7 yrs total together) But yesterday Friday Josh took me and Lucas to the Creation Museum. I have always wanted to go here since it opened back in 2007. Before I go on, I recommend that everyone go to this museum. It will help you understand alot more things clearer, even if you are a Christian. We will defiantly go back again, especially as Lucas gets older and is able to understand this stuff. Its so hard to imagine that in 3 years Lucas will be going to school and being taught evolution (NOT the TRUTH) or that even we as kids learned that & believed it. I want Lucas to know right from wrong. We left the house today and had cracker barrel, Lucas ate some yummy pancakes and Josh had to take him to the bathroom and clean him up, he was that sticky. Only reason i mentioned eating out is cause Josh normally works all week and we never get a day out with daddy. It was awesome. So now we headed to Petersburg, KY where the Creation Museum is located. Josh loved it cause it was out in the middle of nowhere (he don't like big city life) As we entered and got our tickets, we decided we would go to the planetarium before walking through the museum. Today's showing was The Created Cosmos. Absolutely awesome, the entire time Lucas would be like oooHHH STARS, lol, just the cutest little thing & even be amazed with the stars and sky at age 2. Then we started our tour. I will post lots of pictures, but you NEED to see this in person. This is Lucas's 1st reaction when he saw the dinosaurs

What you can do in 1 Year or less at Maximum Fitness...

So back in July i had posted about my 21 day paleo challenge, Well i have done 3 of them. I am now down to 149 lbs. I am going to try and lose another 10-14 lbs within the next month or so. I wanna be 135 lbs.... I am still sticking to paleo as much as i can. Its hard doing it 100% of the time (especially with Josh and Lucas not Paleo) so i will do my best. I can say our family is defiantly eating a lot better. I have some old photos i can post for some comparison. I do not remember being this heavy.(Im guessing 205/210 lbs) This was one year ago Sept 25, 2010 (195 lbs) This is today Aug 28, 2011 (149 lbs) I could/ would not have lost all this weight if it was not for Maximum Fitness Im going to say that top picture I was 205 lbs. So if i took that from my weight now I am down 56 lbs. I am loving my life right now and i do not want to go back to that 1st or 2nd pictures. Love you all

New things to come...

As you read or browse around the blog the layout will be changing some. I am adding a couple of pages. One will be about Lucas. We are going to be starting some Tot School. What is this you may ask. I have planned some small learning activities for Lucas to do each day of the week. This will no be a long all day school thing. Im thinking 30 mins to an hour. He is 2 and a very active little boy. I cant wait to start posting more about Lucas learning and on our home page will be regular family life (which i am promising to blog more on)
