Day 5 Playdoh Experiment

today is day 5 of our hands on play challenge. We were suppose to make homemade playdoh and let our child's mind run free........ super fun.... (for Mommy at least) Lucas is 2.5 and i have not let him play with playdoh hardly at all, so today was challenging. He didn't want to touch it much. He wanted to hit it with the spoon or tree limbs i had on the table. (dad brought home rocks, acorns & tree limbs from the woods after he got back hunting that morning) So........... Me and daddy helped with me creativeness and Lucas toward the end finally started to roll the playdoh in balls or smash it around in his had. NOW he did HELP mix the playdoh at first. But this was defiantly fun and we will be doing it a lot more often, (daddy really got into it) This picture below is the only thing Lucas made on his own. It was a flower for mommy :-)

Day 4: Make an Island

Im really loving these challenges and today it was even more special cause daddy was home to join in. On our 4th challenge we were to get creative and make an island. Well we have a 2.5 year old that totally doesnt understand when you say dont get it the water, stay on land, LOL. We had a blast though. After almost 50 minutes of playing Lucas was sweating and ready to take a nap. first we did one big Island..... Lucas ran around us (in the water) the whole time, lol. ( got him on a couple times & we managed to get the cat too, she freaked out) next we changed it up. took all the pillows and made a circle and told Lucas he had to stay on the pillows and follow mommy and daddy. next we made a bridge from daddys island to mommys island... that didnt last long cause Lucas turned the bridge in to a pillow fight.. then daddy & Lucas hid under the pillows.
